Ethical Trade Norway is actively undertaking and facilitating projects to assist our members with human rights due diligence for responsible business conduct and to improve conditions for workers in supply chains.
From 2021-2024 we have three projects funded by Norad, two within the textile sector and one in the agriculture sector. Additionally, we have member driven projects both within and outside Norway. Read more about our projects in the left hand menu.
NORAD projects
Through funding from The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), we regularly carry out projects in production countries. These projects aim to strengthen civil society and project partners in the relevant countries, and contribute to our members’ human rights due diligence.
Sustainability 17
Sustainability 17 is a collaborative project aiming to strengthen the work on responsible business and ethical trade in public procurement. The project is run by Ethical Trade Norway, together with public sector members. Sustainability 17 shall provide harmonised and effective procurement practices of high quality, which promotes respect for basic workers and human rights in risk procurements.
Working Group on living wages
Ethical trade Norway facilitates a working group on living wages for textile members. The purpose of the working group is to create a platform where members can discuss, collaborate and receive feedback on concrete measures taken or planned to enable a living wage for workers in their supply chains.
