Wool and Mohair: Sustainable and Ethical Production in South Africa

Join us for an update from the “Eastern Cape Upliftment, Empowerment and Sustainability” project, and learn more about sustainable and ethical production of wool and mohair in South Africa.

What are key challenges in wool/mohair supply chains, and can local standards and certifications present new opportunities for local farmers? We will be joined by Cape Wools SA who have developed the Sustainable Cape Wool Standard, and learn more about the successful certification of 10 shearing shed associations participating in the project.

Target group:

Companies or enterprises who are considering or currently sourcing wool and/or mohair from South Africa or other geographic locations. In the seminar we will explore challenges and opportunities in sourcing wool/mohair from South Africa.
