The Sustainable Cape Wool Standard (SCWS) sets clear expectations for animal welfare, environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and labor relations, while using blockchain technology to ensure full traceability.

SCWS provides an independently verified framework for responsible wool production in South Africa. The SCWS has now been expanded with the addition of the SCWS Communal, a new pathway developed to meet the realities of communal farmers in South Africa’s wool sector. The standard has been updated and developed further to ensure traceability using blockchain technology.

This webinar will introduce the standard’s purpose, key principles, blockchain technology, and verification system. It will explore how it can empower farmers, support ethical sourcing, and drive sustainability in the global wool industry.

We look forward to welcoming everyone interested in responsible trade, supply chain due diligence, and sustainable fiber production.
