To enable consumers to make conscious and informed choices, it is important that traders give consumers correct and instructive information about the product/company and any ethical or environmental advantages. The purpose of The Consumer Ombudsmanís main work on environmental and ethical marketing has been to prevent consumers being misled and to influence traders to comply with the Marketing Control Act in their ethical and environmental marketing.
