Business Models and Labour Standards: Making the Connection

04. mars 2019
Kl. 14:00-16:30 GMT
London, Warwick Business School, 17th Floor, The Shard , 32 London Bridge Street

The Ethical Trading Initiative, Kings College Business School and Warwick Business School are co-convening an event to the launch of a new report: “Business Models and Labour Standards: Making the Connection”.

The event is aimed at senior commercial decision-makers, investors, trade union, civil society organisations interested in how business models can be changed to support better labour standards in global supply chains.

Specifically, the event will interrogate:

  • How business models in the apparel and food retail and production sectors can change to support better labour standards in global supply chains.
  • How policy-makers, investors, trade union and civil society can support this change.

In addition, speakers will cross-examine the debate which has shaped discussion on labour standards for 20 years: the extent to which prevailing business models in industries such as fashion and fresh produce inherently undermine good labour standards.
