Are you aware that your company’s purchasing practices might be an indirect or direct cause of poor working conditions in the supply chain?
Over the past six years IEH-Ethical Trading Initiative Norway (IEH) has spoken to 1500 suppliers who have participated at IEHs supplier trainings in India, Vietnam and China. The data collected shows that buyers have a critical role in ensuring that the efforts suppliers put towards improving working conditions are not compromised by short lead times, last minute changes to orders and price pressure.
As a response to these findings, IEH is launching this new, comprehensive guide. The guide provides buyers with the necessary understanding and tools to develop responsible purchasing practices.
This seminar will give you an overview of the challenges buyers face today, a presentation of the guide and suppliers will tell how they cope with the purchasing practices of their customers. Then you will learn how an IEH member company has improved their purchasing practices in order to improve working conditions and productivity gains.
You will also receive a hard copy of the guide – an exclusive offer only for seminar participants.
Further you will have the opportunity to network with professionals engaged in various aspects of purchasing practices.
